How to Choose?
Measuring the HiyaAutomotive Car Coil Buffer involves assessing various aspects of your vehicle’s suspension system.
Here are the steps to measure the effectiveness and fit of the coil buffer:
Tools and Materials:
- Jack and jack stands
- Measuring tape
- Safety gloves and goggles
Steps:
Park and Prepare:
- Park your vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
- Put on safety gloves and goggles for protection.
Lift the Vehicle:
- Use a jack to lift the corner of the vehicle where you want to measure the coil buffer. Make sure to place the jack stands under the vehicle for safety.
Locate the Coil Spring:
- Locate the coil spring that you want to measure. It’s usually positioned between the suspension control arms and the vehicle’s frame.
Measure the Coil Spring Diameter:
- Using a measuring tape, measure the diameter of the coil spring. Measure from the outside edge of one coil to the opposite outside edge. This measurement will give you the spring’s outer diameter.
Measure the Gap Between Coils:
- Measure the gap or spacing between adjacent coils on the spring. This measurement is important to ensure that the coil buffer will fit snugly between the coils.
Assess Coil Spring Condition:
- While you have the spring exposed, assess its condition. Look for signs of wear, damage, or corrosion. If the spring is damaged, it may need to be replaced before installing a coil buffer.

- Carefully lower the vehicle using the jack, and then remove the jack stands. Make sure the vehicle is securely on the ground.
Repeat for Other Springs:
- If you plan to install coil buffers on multiple springs, repeat the above steps for each one.
Test Drive and Evaluate:
